Come Home to Your True Self

A Seasonal Retreat in Aliveness, Wholeness & the Fullness of Love

Introduction

There is a version of you that already knows peace. Already knows freedom. Already knows how to love without condition, starting with yourself.

This Retreat is an invitation to meet that version of you.

Over three days, in a small and intimate circle, you'll be guided through deep meditation, ancient eastern wisdom, nondual teaching, therapeutic insight and neuroscience. Not as separate disciplines, but as a single doorway back to the truth of who you are.

This is not a retreat for monks or ascetics. It's for laypeople. Householders. People fully in the world - who want a first-hand, embodied experience of their own potential, and the tools to carry it home.

"It goes without saying that I love being in the same room as Jac, learning from her, receiving her warm and authentic energy and laughing at her jokes."

But what I love even more that this is how I feel the days after, more spacious, more aware of nature, more loving to my family and more able to feel into the awe and wonder of being a human on planet earth.

A Retreat Designed for Real Integration

Unlike a residential retreat where you're contained within one building for days on end, this experience is intentionally non-residential. You'll source your own nearby accommodation (with our recommendations if you'd like them), and move between the depth of our shared container and the quiet, ordinary magic of the in-between spaces.

Having hosted over 30 retreats, I've come to believe some of the most profound shifts happen not in the group room, but in these gaps. A solo swim at sunrise, a quiet yoga class, dinner alone with a book at a beautiful restaurant. It's here that integration actually happens. You'll also find that friendships form naturally in these spaces. Many guests choose to explore together, while others treasure the solitude. Either way, you're held.

Where You'll Be

Retreats are held at my own home, nestled beneath a mountain, beside a waterfall that feeds the creek wrapping around the property (yes, you're welcome to swim). Picture:

  • An acre of gardens and fruit trees
  • Silence broken only by birdsong, the occasional wallaby or echidna, and ducks pottering the lawns
  • An infrared outdoor sauna and hot shower, yours to use
  • Meals shared in the garden, by the fire pit, or around our enormous dining table on cooler days

"Thank you so much for the incredible space and spirit to truly expand."

You come and wave a wand with the right meaning and intentions around the wand to give us confidence to grow and be the self we wish to be. You are a Wizard Jacs. You make the thoughts feel actionable and real and with this we can make them more so. Thank you for being the Broad Place Wizard Jac.

Who This Is For

This Retreat is for you if you want to:

  • Deepen and solidify your meditation practice, and experience longer sits and deeper inner silence
  • Discover your inner truth, your peace, your freedom, and a lasting love for yourself
  • Show up in the world in a more aligned, embodied way
  • Explore neuroscience, therapy models, consciousness and nonduality/Advaita, Zen and Taoism, and the Sufi tradition of love through Rumi and Hafiz as living practice, not theory

Guest numbers are kept small and intimate by design, so every person is truly seen.

A note on prerequisites: This Retreat builds on prior work together. To attend, you'll need to have studied with me directly through one of the following:

  • Integrated Meditation
  • The Confident or Empowered Woman
  • Integrated Coaching
  • A previous Retreat

Exceptions are considered case by case. If you feel the pull, please apply and we'll talk.

The Journey

Thursday, 2pm – 8pm: We open by creating the safety and confidentiality of the container we'll hold together. Gentle introductions, an hour-long guided meditation sit, a study session with time for questions, tea and sweet treats, time in the garden, and an abundant shared dinner.

Friday, 10am – 5pm: Your morning is free. A local yoga class, a beach or river swim, a book and coffee in the sun, or a sauna and creek plunge here at the property. Then we gather for our most expansive day: an integration exercise, an hour-long sit, a rainforest walk, and a delicious lunch. The afternoon turns to deep education. The identities we've built, an exploration of consciousness and the truth of who we are - held together with rich, practical, embodied exercises. We close the day with a special practice, then the evening is yours.

Saturday, 7.30am – 1.30pm: We begin with a long meditation sit, followed by further integration and open Q&A on understanding ourselves as expressions of love and universal connection - and how to carry this Aliveness into daily life. A gorgeous shared brunch, closing practices, and you'll step back into the world with a fuller heart and a clearer knowing of your true self.

"The Broad Place retreats have been a highlight of my spiritual journey the past few years, and I look forward to attending whenever I can. They're little mini getaways for my mind and soul where I can decompress, fall apart and come back together again."

I always leave feeling lighter, brighter, with more clarity and alignment.  So many things make these retreats special - from Jac's teachings and philosophies on life, the delicious and nurturing catering, and the collective supportive energy of other attendees who all have a story to share and contribution to make.  Jac pours so much love into each of her events and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for purpose and meaning.

Food Made with Love

All meals are vegetarian, local and organic - much of it grown right here in the garden - prepared with a single intention: nourishment and love.

Food is a vehicle for love and healing for The Broad Place. And we are renowned for serving delicious food on all our Retreats and this will be no different. Think huge warming bowls of wild mushroom and ginger congee served with sesame seeds and crispy chilli oil. Traditional Japanese brunches served with greens, miso soups and steaming cups of hojicha teas. Large bowls laden with salads and proteins, spiced lightly and dressing with tahini and yoghurt dressings with crunch and colour. And of course, sweet treats from the heavens, such as a slab of gluten free chocolate cake with ganache enjoyed with a slow steeped herbal tea, a Loco Love chocolate waiting for you on your meditation chair, and fresh abundant fruits picked fresh from our trees, with fresh pots of ginger tea.

After the Retreat: Integration Support

Two weeks after we close the Retreat, we'll come back together for a 90-minute online Integration Call — a space to reconnect, share how things are landing, and ask any questions that have surfaced since. This session is recorded, so you can revisit it or catch up anytime.

JACQUI LEWIS

I work at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern psychology, in the space where old truths and new science meet. For fourteen years, I've been curious about one thing: what actually changes a person. That curiosity has taken me around the world, teaching people from every walk of life, from CEOs through to stay at home parents, teenagers, the elderly, the grieving, those dying, the creatives, the geniuses, the confused, the weary and the inspired. And again and again, I've found the same truths waiting in every room.

My training spans multiple worlds. I'm a qualified therapist, also trained in Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing, and I understand how the nervous system holds what the mind can't always name. I'm a meditation teacher, grounded in the nondual traditions of the East, I know fully and have been witness to what happens when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start seeing clearly instead. And I've spent over a decade coaching leaders through the real pressures of running teams, companies and lives, which means I understand that insight alone doesn't change behaviour. Integration does.

This combination isn't a gimmick, it's just where the real work happens. Most leadership coaching stays at the level of strategy and performance. Most therapy stays in the room. I like to bring both into one space, because none of us leave our nervous system at the door, and the patterns that shape our biggest decisions are often the same ones shaped in childhood. The power of seeing what we truly are beyond intellectual understanding also cannot be underestimated and we weave this in, less identity and more soul.

I've had the joy of teaching this work in person across Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, France, England and America, and have hosted over thirty residential retreats along the way. I've written four books exploring this territory, and shared it on the TEDx stage. But it's not the credentials that matter most to me. It's thirty years of solid practice myself and fourteen years of doing this work with real people, under real pressure, in the death spaces, in the gritty life moments, in the nervous breakdowns, in the burnout, and the creativity, clarity and expansion and heart spaces, that is what I bring. You will bring your whole self, and together, we create.
